Now You See It, Now You Don't (4 Week Online Class)
This class is already in progress but the classroom will be open till May 1st. I removed the date of the first week so that people can still register if they choose to.
In this online workshop, we will explore stitch making on water soluble fabrics. Experimenting with different products and stitches can stimulate your creativeness. With so many options on the market it can be overwhelming; this class will let you explore different types that could provide you with success in achieving your creative vision. Adding a little something new to your technique "toolbox" is all it takes to spur ideas.
Your registration fee will include a kit, broken down by each individual week, that includes a variety of water soluble products and a few harder to find supplements. This will allow you to try out a larger range of products/techniques and decide which one works best for you.
Week 1: Learn and practice techniques on water soluble.
Week 2: Learn more in depth techniques on water solubles.
Week 3: Yet another new technique but also use some from previous weeks to build a focal point for a wall hanging.
Week 4: Working with a new water soluble you will use techniques learned in previous weeks to work on an in depth focal point for a wall hanging.
Each week will include a PDF instruction handout as well as at least one tutorial video. You can then work at your own pace. The "classroom" will be available for one month after the class ends. That gives you two months to access and work at your convenience.
Kit includes a variety of items you will need.
Sewing machine in good working order (must be able to drop your feed dogs in order to do free motion work), Threads (variety of cotton, rayon, silk, metallic), Embroidery Hoop (for use with your maching), Basic sewing supplies, Journal/Sketchbook and pen. Optional: Needlefelting tool and foam.
